Audrey Goffin
Audrey Goffin has been appraising silver for over 25 years. For over ten years she worked at the New York City firm of I. Freeman & Son, Inc., a large wholesale/retail company specializing in a wide range of antique and modern silver, silverplate and modern giftware. Their inventory was extremely varied, giving her hands-on experience evaluating items in all price ranges. Her experience in the auction field has included both Christie's and Christie's East and Phillips, all in New York City.
Audrey received a Certificate from the NYU Appraisal Studies Program, and subsequently taught classes as part of the course "Identifying and Appraising Silver" which was offered during various semesters. Since 1995 she has been Treasurer of The New York Silver Society, Inc., and has contributed several articles to the quarterly Newsletter on topics as diverse as "Non-Tarnish Silver Enters the Marketplace", and "New Orleans Silver at the LSU Museum of Art". Since 1990 she has been a member of the Appraisers Association of America, Inc. and was a speaker at their 1995 Annual National Conference.
