ASK THE EXPERTS: The Big Project: Consulting with Other Appraisers With Jennifer Garland Ross, Art Peritus LLC

Posted on January 30, 2013

Wednesday, February 6, 2013, 3:30-5:30pm,
Appraisers Association Office

Every appraiser is delighted to receive the big assignment; but at the same time, the responsibilities can be daunting. By providing advice regarding practical management techniques, this seminar will dispel the anxieties of the independent appraiser facing a project that involves a large number of items, some of which may not be within his or her specialty, or a sizable project with a very tight deadline. The seminar will focus on issues involved in selecting and collaborating with specialist appraisers, including questions of contract, compensation, insurance and supervision. The over-arching matter of proper organization and coordination will also be addressed through discussion of technology solutions and procedures for tagging and photographing items to be appraised. More information and Registration at www.appraisersassoc.org.
