2012 Winter Antiques Show

Art Peritus is proud to be one of the sponsors for the Appraisers Association of America's 2011 National Conference. Running from November 13th through November 15th, the conference will focus on a myriad of topics relating to "Tomorrow's Challenge: Valuing Art & Design in the 21st Century". Tuesday, November 15th, is the AAA's Art Law Day, which will address many of the legal issues surrounding the appraisal world.

Join Art Peritus founder, Jennifer Garland Ross, and Victoria Shaw-Williamson for this full-day intensive seminar on June 20, 2011, designed to cover the fundamental knowledge that is key for generalist appraisers working with furniture. Chances to view furniture up-close and behind-the-scenes viewing opportunities, a discussion format, and chances to ask questions will allow participants to delve into their individual interests.
The morning session will take place at the Christie's Redstone Post-Sale Facility, easily accessible by subway or car (free parking will be provided for registrants, detailed directions will be sent in confirmation email).
The afternoon session will take place at Christie's at 20 Rockefeller Plaza, NYC. Registrants are encouraged to mention their level of experience and areas of interest (a survey will be sent upon registration) so that the instructors can tailor the presentation to best fit the interests, specialties, and needs of the group. This will be an in-depth discussion presented in an intimate setting with two experts who know appraising and the auction world and will provide a great breadth of essential information. www.appraisersassoc.org
