For over two hundred years, Asprey has been regarded as Britain’s leading luxury brand. Asprey was formed in 1781 in England by William Asprey, who advertised his wares as “articles of exclusive design and high quality.” Adhering to that credo over time, Asprey was awarded a Royal Warrant from Queen Victoria in 1860s and still receives patronage from the Royal Family and Hollywood elite at their Bruton Street, London location.
The 1920s and 1930s are considered the golden age for the company- as it embraced the art deco period, referring to the style then as ‘moderne’ or ‘jazz modern.’ It was during this time that the present sterling silver desk clock was crafted with its simple clean lines, elegant, stepped design that is decorated with handsome malachite stone.
