A carved mahogany hall table after designs by Thomas Chippendale published in his ‘Director’ 1754, Plate XXXI. The present table is a fine example of the Chippendale style and illustrates Chinese and Rococo influences. A similar table can be found at Corsham Court, Wiltshire, England, dated circa 1755.
